Paying for food

Food vouchers and food banks

If you find yourself in a crisis and need support with getting some groceries, you can ask you social worker or personal advisor if you could be provided with some food vouchers. We offer food vouchers for Sainsbury’s, Lidl, Tesco, and Iceland supermarkets. Your worker would speak to a manager who would have to agree to you being given the food vouchers.

We can also refer you to a Foodbank who can provide you with a package of food items.

The Real Junk Project is a pop-up community café in Twickenham. It is open to all every Monday from 11.00am to 1.00pm and every Tuesday from 2.00pm to 5.00pm at the ETNA Community Centre. Their aim is to reduce and educate about the amount of good food ending up in landfill, by turning the remaining food from local food retailers into delicious healthy meals. People eating at the cafe "pay as they feel" and can even take food away to use at home.
