Drugs and alcohol

Whether you are taking drugs, alcohol, medicines or herbal substances, you should know the risks you take, and how to deal with any problems.

There are services locally and resources nationally who can help you understand your drug or alcohol use better and help you to stop taking altogether if that is your choice.

Getting it on contains information and services for 13 to 19 year olds on sexual and mental health issues, drugs and alcohol and relationship problems in Kingston and Richmond

Off The Record Twickenham (OTR) is a registered charity providing a drop-in counselling, information and sexual health service for young people aged 11–24 who live, work or study in the Borough of Richmond Upon Thames.

Most people don’t use drugs and even amongst those that do, emergencies are rare.  But no one can be certain how drugs will affect them so there’s always the risk that they’ll have a bad time, fall ill, and hurt themselves or even worse. Here’s what you need to know should you ever have to help a friend or relative who’s having a bad reaction to a drug.
