Food voucher scheme

To ensure parents/carers and children do not miss out on receving food vouchers, it is important that any children eligible for EYPP are identified and have completed section 4 on the parent authorisation form. All parent/carer details provided on the form must be recorded on the child's funding record and 'consent to check' box must be ticked in the synergy provider portal.  

Vouchers for October half term have now been issued please contact the early years entitlements and funding team to amend parent /carer details. 

Current funding term: Autumn 2023  Funding period 1 September to 31 December 2023. 

There are 14 entitlement weeks available in the autumn term. A child must start accessing their entitlement before the 15 September 2023 and not claimed elswhere to claim the full 14 weeks in autumn.  

The portal is now only open for amendments and late starters please contact the early education entitlements and funding team to request an amendment via the EEF Provider enquiry form (google form)

Early Years Supplementary Grant (EYSG)

Please see emails sent on 3 October 2023 with information about the rates for the Early Years Supplementary Grant payable for autumn 2023 and spring 2024. The EYSG for the autumn term will be calculated based on the hours submitted to the provider portal as at 20 October 2023 and paid in the second week of November.

Autumn term 2023 EEF and EYPP deadlines and payment dates

To claim the full 14 week entitlement for the autumn term chiildren must be on roll and started attending by 15 September 2023.  Please see look up guides under the weeks to claim section to determine the number of weeks to claim for children starting after this date.   You cannot claim any funding for the autumn term for children that are starting a maintained reception place in autumn term 2023.

Total EEF and EYPP payments can be seen on the summary page of the synergy provider portal record.  Any adjustments can be seen on the adjustments page.

Autumn Term 2023 (1 September to 31 August)

Any agreed changes and negative balances after 20 October will be adjusted on the spring estimate. 

There will be one single SDP payment made by 31 December 2023

DAF payments will be made by the estimated pay date for all children nominated and evidenced as eligible by the end of the portal input period. 

Spring Term 2024 (1 January to 31 March)

Any agreed changes and negative balances after 23 February will be adjusted on the summer estimate

Summer Term 2024 (1 April to 31 August)

Any agreed changes and negative balances after 8 June 2024 will be adjusted on the autumn estimate.
