Paediatric physiotherapy is a statutory service. Providing physiotherapy intervention for children and young people from 0 - 18 years of age who have a neuro-developmental problem/condition that is impacting on their function.
Community Paediatric physiotherapy provides therapy provision for children and young people who have either a neurological or neuromuscular diagnosis; or have a condition which results in delayed physical development which is impacting on their physical function and/or access for the young person.
Each child is looked at individually and care/support is decided on a case to case basis. In some cases only support and advice is required however therapy input can be ongoing until transition into adult services.
- We provide a year round service.
- 52 weeks a year excluding weekends and bank holidays.
- Working hours 8.30am-4.30pm
We are currently only able to accept referrals from professionals working with a child this could include: GP, consultant, school staff, health visitors, therapists, support workers and the voluntary sector. Currently clinical referrals can only be considered for a child with a GP within the Royal Borough of Kingston.
There is no cost to users as the service is CCG funded.
