Therapy support

Can parents and carers access therapy support if their child is at home?
Speech and Language Therapy

Providers of speech and language therapy (Your Healthcare in Kingston and HRCH in Richmond) have been planning how they can best support children and young people at the current time given the need to restrict contact and the fact that many health professionals have been redeployed as part of the NHS’ response to the Coronavirus outbreak.  You may already have been sent materials by your therapist and / or had online or telephone consultations.

For Kingston families, Your Healthcare encourages families to contact their therapist via email or phone, or the team can be contacted at slt.children@yourhealthcare.org or 020 8339 8074, with messages being checked daily.

For Richmond families, HRCH have provided support materials on their website (https://www.hrch.nhs.uk/services/search-services/speech-and-language-therapy-children-richmond).  Reduced staffing numbers mean that therapy provision is being supported on a risk assessed and priority basis, with cases involving for example Dysphagia being treated as a priority.

Richmond parents, carers, schools and partners can contact the HRCH team for advice on 020 8614 5333, or via email on hrch.richmondsaltadviceline@nhs.net
