About school admissions

The School Admissions Service is provided by Achieving for Children, in partnership with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames as well as the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and operates in accordance with the School Admissions Code (2021).

If you live outside the boroughs of Kingston and Richmond, you should also contact the admissions team in your home council.

On these pages you will find information and application forms for changing schools in-year, starting school in Reception and Year 7 for the following academic year as well as appealing a school place allocation, policies and further information about the schools within each borough.

If you need to contact the admissions team for either Kingston or Richmond, please email us via the addresses below. Please note that priority will be given to queries where the information is not available on the admissions website or in the relevant brochures.

Due to hybrid working, we do not have a direct line to the School Admissions team. Call backs can be requested via email. When doing so, please include the full name of your child along with their date of birth and full address as well as a brief description of the area you need assistance with.
