Early Years Census - 2020

From Monday 20th January any Childminders, Private, Voluntary or Independent Providers who have made a funding claim in Spring Term 2020 must complete a Census Form collecting details for the annual Early years Census.  The form is accessed by logging onto the Provider Portal and clicking on the Forms tab - and then the 'Provider Early Years Census Form 2020' form.    please download the Guidance from the link below for full instructions to ensure correct information is given.

The form must be completed and submitted accurately by 5pm on Wednesday 29th January.    If you have any questions about the Early Years Census or about completing the form please email using the word 'CENSUS' in the subject line.

Portal training and troubleshooting

Early Education Funding – Provider Portal Training

Session includes: how to use the Provider Portal, having the correct paperwork in place, when and how payments are made to providers

Thursday 30 April – 7pm to 9pm – King Charles Centre, Surbiton

Thursday 7th May - 2pm to 4pm - Twickenham Training Centre

Note: Summer term afternoon session at Twickenham Training Centre – date to be confirmed, not yet available for booking

Early Education Funding and Compliance Training

Session includes:  Understanding types and eligibility of EEF, sustainable models of delivering EEF, working within statutory compliance, reviewing documentation and paperwork in line with guidance, communicating your EEF model to parents and carers.

Tuesday 10 March – 7pm to 9pm – King Charles Centre, Surbiton

Monday 16 March – 2pm to 4pm – Twickenham Training Centre

Thursday 11 June - 2 to 4pm – King Charles Centre, Surbiton

Thursday 18 June – 7pm to 9pm – Twickenham Training Centre

(Please note - the description currently published when booking refers to 30 hours, however the training delivered will cover the processes required for all streams of Early Education Funding)​

 Completed parental declaration forms will need to be retained by the childcare provider and should not be posted to Achieving for Children. The completed forms should be kept for seven years for audit purposes.
