Job description:-


Supporting the group leader in general classroom duties, including keeping the classroom tidy and restocked (set up classroom, wash paint pots/brushes, tidy craft area/book corner, replace books and games, etc).
Working within the agreed framework of policies and procedures within the setting/school.
Providing a service that respects children’s development and celebrates diversity in terms of language, culture, ability, race and religion
Covering Group Leaders during time of absence in monitoring and planning for children’s progress and development.
Keeping required records and documentation on children.
Maintaining children´s portfolios.
Supporting children’s development of the English or German language, including during circle time.
Effective communication with parents.
Accompanying children to the cafeteria (Pre-school only).
Carrying out any other duties as a ‘Springer’ to ensure the smooth running of the setting, including helping in other groups.
Leading the group with all day-to-day responsibilities in the absence of the Group Leader.
Attending staff meetings, including planning and development meetings.
Working effectively as part of the team.
Attending all out of hours work activities, such as staff events, training, parent evenings, Christmas and summer fairs as require
Knowledge of fluent German, oral and written, would be a distinct advantage to your application.

Days and hours of work:- 30 hours per week afternoons and mornings on a flexible rota.

Salary - Competitive and according to experience.

Qualifications required - Ideally EYE Level 3 or similar in years of work experience.

. Experience and skills required - You are:

Ideally, English and German Speaker with experience in teaching bilingual children from 3 years old.

Teaching qualification to NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, BA in Early Years or equivalent, recognized qualifications is required.

This role is for 30 hours per week across a rota that will cover some afternoon as well as morning hours, so you really have to enjoy jumping in and being flexible in supporting various teams.

Some supervision and leadership experience.

Job description: The Individual Support Teacher provides effective support to children on a 1:1 and in a classroom environment.

In addition, this role is looking after a small group of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) for their 'Lernzeit' in the afternoon.

This is not a classroom teacher role, but you must speak German to mother tongue standard in written and oral.

Days and hours of work: The role is up to 20 hours in the afternoon from 13.45pm on a flexible rota, working every day.

Salary: up to 30K depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications required: Bachelor or Masterdegree in education or related subject.

Experience and skills required: Act upon and implement recommendations of individual support plan.
Experience in working with Secondary School pupils.
Supervise homework.
Individual support of one child or a group of children with some SEN needs.
Evaluation and documentation of special measures, progress and processes.
Attend parent feedback and conversations as required.
Communicate effectively with the team, teachers and the DSL as required.  

Any other information: This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in supporting children from Primary School upwards. Over the coming months more children from Secondary School are being cared for.
However, the role is only suitable for an Individual Support Teacher who is looking for a long term career move and is flexible to work across all schools, from Kindergarten to Preschool, Primary and Secondary School.

Flexibility is required to carry out the role, as schedules may change from time to time.

We are looking for two new out of numbers Learning and Development Duty Managers. These are new roles we are making as we have grown in size and looking to take the nursery to the next level.

SEND knowledge.

Working requirements

You will need to be available to work 42 hours a week. This role is for 5 days a week and holidays will need to be taken during mainly term time period, with up to a week flexibility to school holidays, no holidays in August.

Benefits

You will receive 21 days holiday a year, plus your birthday after one year of service.

Bank holidays and Christmas closure that is NOT taken from your allowance.
