Description of activity
LIBERTY DRIVES provide a transportation service free of charge for individuals with disabilities (along with caregivers, friends and family) to visit inside Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.
Each LIBERTY DRIVES electric buggy has seating for five passengers and up to one passenger in a wheelchair. Staffed by knowledgeable volunteer drivers from the local community, each tour of the 760 acres of parks land lasts between 30 and 50 minutes.
Passenger pick-ups may be arranged at any number of easily identified locations in the park and the drop-off may be a location of your choosing within the park boundaries.
LIBERTY DRIVES operates from 1 May to 31 October, Monday to Friday, 10:00 am until 4:30 pm.
LIBERTY DRIVES is an initiative supported via Hyde Park Appeal by voluntary donations from the community and operated entirely by volunteer drivers and other volunteer support roles.
