Description of activity
A local provider of respite and care support for carers and the people they care for. Providing care for children/young people aged 0 - 18 years, adults and older people.
Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated service rating 'good' which ensures we provide a quality safe service.
We work with carers and their families, helping carers to have a life of their own outside of caring. All staff are fully trained Care Support Workers, DBS checked, paid and experienced. The care we provide is either within the home or in the community.
Crossroads Care Transitional Project is for young people aged between 15-18 years old, who identify as a young carer or have a Special Educational Need, who may need further support with exploring their future career aspirations. The project aims to help young people focus on exploring, identifying and matching skills to employment and career prospects. We also support the young people with CV and personal statement writing, preparation skills for interviews and creating opportunities for young people to participate in a work placement with local businesses.
Our Saturday Club is a social group for children or young people who are 8-18 years old and have an additional need. The project is held on Saturday afternoons at Hampton Youth Club and provides a safe, supportive and secure environment to develop and enjoy social, creative and sportive activities including karate and football.
Crossroads Care and Achieving for Children are working in collaboration to run the "Dad's Who Care" project. This is a relaxed, social group for male carers who care for their children and offers a safe, supportive and confidential environment to meet other male parent carers who are in a similar situation. The group provides friendship, activities and specialised support.
Our projects are by referral only. For more information, please contact Crossroads Care Richmond and Kingston upon Thames on 020 8943 9421 or info@crossroadscarerk.org.uk.
