Specialist driving school

Our team of qualified and experienced Driving Standards Agency Approved driving instructors has been trained to the highest standards to teach people with special needs.

We can arrange for you to have rehabilitative tuition, driving lessons for confidence training and to adapt to new control methods and novice learner driver training to test standard. Our safe private track and quiet roads are ideal ‘starter’ locations. We can guarantee you will have one-to-one time with our specialist instructors, who will devise a tailor-made learning programme to meet your needs. The driving school has a range of adapted vehicles including:

Very light powered steering
Left foot accelerator
Left foot mounted accelerator and brake hand control
Ring accelerator and push brake hand controls
Infra-red secondary controls
Single combined lever push/ pull hand controls
All our instructors are patient, proactive and experienced in teaching pupils with special needs, including deaf pupils.

What’s it about?
We organise an action-packed two-hour experience at our centre in Carshalton for those with physical or learning disabilities who would like to take their first step towards total independence by learning to drive.
Who should attend?
This course suits youth groups and senior pupils from special schools. Delegates have a chance to try the driving theory test, compete on the static car unit for the fastest reaction and decision times and receive a short Introduction to Driving presentation before actually having a go at driving on our safe private roads.
