Chat and Play - Educational Psychology (Kingston)

All Day

*Please be aware that these sessions are only open to families that live in the Kingston Borough*

As a parent do you feel as though....?

- Your pre-school child’s learning isn’t progressing in the way they would want it to, and your child is becoming quite stuck with learning.
- Do they struggle with attachment and/or changes in their routines?
- Can their behaviour be an issue at times?

Educational psychologists work within local authorities, in partnership with families and other professionals, to help children achieve their full potential. Educational psychologists support schools, nurseries, and the local authority to improve all children’s experiences of learning. They use their training in psychology and knowledge of child development to assess difficulties children may be having with their learning. They provide advice and training on how adults might help children to learn and develop. They recommend methods, or develop strategies in partnership with the adults around the child, to help them learn more effectively. Strategies may include approaches for learning through play, managing feelings, or playing with
other children and making friends.
