Exploring Genetic Automata - Wednesday 16 August, 6.30pm to 9pm (14 to 19 year olds)
Be part of an exclusive after-hours event for young people created by Wellcome Collection’s Youth Panel. The programme is inspired by our new exhibition, ‘Genetic Automata‘, which examines race and identity in an age of avatars, videogames and DNA ancestry.
Visit the exhibition, enjoy music and performances, take part in workshops and share your thoughts while enjoying free snacks and drinks.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier with Drea Asibey - Saturday 5 August, 2pm to 5pm
Join Cultural producer, curator and educator Drea Asibey to watch and discuss ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ (2014). After the cataclysmic events in New York with his fellow Avengers, Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, struggles to embrace his role in the modern world. He teams up with a fellow Avenger and S.H.I.E.L.D agent, Black Widow, to battle a new threat from history: an assassin known as the Winter Soldier.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes with Aleah Scott - Thursday 24 August, 5pm to 8pm
Join Director, writer and producer Aleah Scott to watch and discuss ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ (2011, cert 12A). Scientist Will Rodman experiments with a drug that he hopes will cure his father's Alzheimer's disease. After his work is deemed a failure, Will becomes the guardian of Caesar, an infant chimp, who is exposed to the drug and begins to display super intelligence and abilities.
