Powerjam - Youth Band Workshops
About POWERJAM - Not-for-profit weekly after school band workshops and charity for musical youths ages 10-16, in partnership with Achieving for Children (AfC).
Led by DBS checked music industry professionals and tutors, the workshops offer musical youths the opportunity to become regulars members of a rock or pop band and to play and create music that excites them (and keeps them playing!). Each term, the bands learn to play songs to performance level and finish with a gig at community events (St. Margaret's Summer Fair, Richmond Music and Drama Festival etc), so they also learn the value of becoming reliable team players. With low student/member to tutor ratios, Powerjam aims to place each member in an appropriate band in terms of level, age, style, and taste in music, and to give each individual ample attention and instruction. Weekly commitment required. Spaces Limited. Please contact for more info: anna texier.powerjam@gmail.com
