Description of activity

Dear Parents and Carers

As you will be aware the government is advising social distancing at this time and as such from Monday 23 March we will no longer be delivering any open public sessions at any of our sites. We hope you understand that the health of you, your child and our staff is of paramount importance at the moment.

Should you require any support please go online to the local offer website or the local council website where information on a range of support services is available.

Please also ensure you follow the government and public Health England guidance on how to stay safe and how to maintain your health and the health of your children and families.

We hope you can appreciate what a difficult decision this has been but it has been made with the best interests of everybody in mind.

We will keep our websites updated regularly; we aim to be operating our usual services as soon as it is safe to do so.

Children's centres are places where all families with children under five, and expectant mothers and fathers, can go to help their children to get the best start in life. The facilities and activities are designed for young children and their families.

All children's centres will offer informal support for parents and a place for your child to play and learn.

Children's centres work with a wide range of partners to ensure that we can help families in whatever area they need.

Services in children's centres include:
• child and family health services
• information for families and carers
• early education and information about childcare
• support for children with special needs
• outreach and support to families in need
• adult education classes with crèche facilities
• helping parents find training and employment
